Dimensions and Projection

Transferal of information

In any projection of a spatial system, one dimension will always be missing. That is because any spatial phenomenon will have three dimensions and is often spherical in form, whereas its image is depicted on a flat surface.
Since the projection arc is dropped perpendicular to this flat picture plane, the missing dimension is present within the field perpendicular to that surface. The information contained in that field has been folded up into a line or point, as it were. It can be accessed again by throwing out another projection arc from a different position or viewpoint, this time in a direction perpendicular to it.
Inevitably, this implies that another aspect of the information will now be hidden from sight, similarly folded up into a line or point.
So in any system of projection, we will find that only certain aspects of the spatial situation will be expressed and others will not. This implies that there will always exist many appearences – each with their own field of knowledge– of the one reality.
